Christy Capell, MA, LPCC-S

My name is Cristian Capell and I grew up in the Cincinnati/Hamilton Ohio areas.  I received my Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati to become a licensed professional counselor in 2010.  Over the past 15 years, I have had experience in diagnosing and treating adolescents and adults, providing counseling for depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem and behavior concerns.  As a Licensed Clinical Counseling Supervisor (LPCC-S), I am also very interested in providing supervisory and mentoring services to those who are interested in becoming a licensed counselor in the state of Ohio.

My primary interest is in helping individuals to gain insight into their self-worth in order to better manage life and mental health barriers.  The goal is to help clients learn how to adjust negative thinking, enhance self-care, elevate self-esteem and improve your ability to believe in yourself.  I also have a passion to bring more awareness into the stigma of mental illness and the stigma associated with seeking help.  Therapy is often misperceived and can be intimidating, but it can also be a godsend with the right person.  It is my belief that no matter how you choose to seek therapy, you deserve to receive help without judgement.
